A 6.2-magnitude earthquake has struck central Italy.
The earthquake damage is mainly concentrated in the mountainous border areas of the Lazio, Umbria, and Marche regions. Many mountain towns have been almost completely razed. Rescue workers are racing against time to dig through rubble by hand to save lives. Both the Italian government and civilians are prioritizing disaster relief. Although the affected area is not a common destination for regular tourists or popular tourist spots, travelers planning itineraries should pay special attention.

Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet issued any travel advisory for Italy. Travelers visiting Italy should avoid the disaster-stricken areas.
