New Taipei City’s riverside parks have gained a new parent-child leisure attraction—Up！To offer citizens a distinctive recreational setting and enhanced leisure facilities, the New Taipei City Government has established the nation’s first children’s supercar (electric kids’ car) driving track in the riverside park near Xialu Bridge in Zhonghe District. This facility aims to foster parent-child interaction and welcomes families to bring their little ones to “speed around” and have fun.

In recent years, cool-looking, remote-controlled kids’ supercars have grown in popularity. However, when driven on urban sidewalks or in green spaces of city parks, they often raise safety and management concerns. In light of this, the New Taipei City Government has repurposed an existing parking lot next to Xialu Bridge in Zhonghe District, re-paved the area, and transformed it into a kids’ electric car play zone. The goal is to offer residents a safer and more diverse environment for children to enjoy these vehicles.

This practice track is located next to Xialu Bridge in Zhonghe District and is now open to the public. Visitors can enter the riverside parking lot via the embankment access road near Xialu Bridge and walk about1minutes toward Xialu Bridge to reach the site. The venue is divided into two main themed zones: the racetrack zone replicates a real racing circuit, featuring a starting area and curved tracks, allowing kids to experience authentic racing fun; the car driving practice zone mimics the test items from actual driver’s license road tests, including reverse parking, roadside parking, andScurved driving sections marked on the ground. Parents can guide their children from the sidelines, letting them get an early taste of driving tests while enjoying quality bonding time.
