On the first weekend night of October, Taipei will rally designers and artists to curate the city, joining the globally renowned "White Night" worldwide festival. White Night (White Night) was initiated by the Paris City Hall in 2002 and has now been adopted by over 120 capital and major cities across Europe and America. This year, Taipei, recognized as the World Design Capital, takes the spotlight as the first Asian capital city to host White Night!

The White Night event originated from the Paris City Hall's vision to bring citizens closer to contemporary art and to allow them to gain a renewed and profound understanding of their city through shared celebration. Thus, with contemporary art performances as the main focus, artists from around the world were invited to collaborate in transforming Paris into a grand stage for cutting-edge contemporary art.

The curatorial setting for Taipei’s White Night takes the old city center as its stage, focusing on the area around Beimen, extending along the historic Dihua Street, strolling into the distinctive Chongqing South Road — Bookstore Street, pausing at the 228 Peace Park and the National Taiwan Museum.
