Combining the concepts of “happiness” and “dreams” of Xinshe, this windmill was named the “Star Wish Purple Windmill.” Its unique shape and vibrant colors create a striking presence. The musical roller on the purple windmill features a woodpecker that taps out crisp melodies, accompanied by slowly rotating fan blades, all contributing to a blissfully romantic atmosphere. The Taichung City Government’s Department of Economic Development integrated the representative color of Xinshe in constructing this purple windmill installation, hence situating the ‘Star Wish Purple Wind’ at the Xinshe Zhongxingling Parking Lot, where it also serves as a key entrance landmark for the Xinshe commercial area.
