Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has collaborated with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama to create the “Polka Dot Art Theme Zone,” which officially opened on November 3. The new zone, designed around her signature polka dots and gourds, allows visitors to experience the concept of “self-obliteration” and immerse themselves in Yayoi Kusama’s spiritual world.

The Yayoi Kusama Art Theme Zone officially opened at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong on November 3,featuringa yellow background as the main tone, paired with her iconic creative elements,covered repeatedly with black polka dots,and upon looking up, you’ll see aspecially ordered “gourd” from Japansuspended in the air, with parallel mirrors and lighting perfectly creating an effect of infinite space,allowing visitorstoexperience “self-obliteration”while losing a sense of self, with the highly realistic“Queen of Polka Dots”Yayoi Kusama wax figure wearing a long dress with a pattern matching the background, seated in the center of the zone, inviting everyone into her artistic world.
