The maple viewing season is kicking off one after another, among which Fushoushan Farm in Taichung’s Heping District has become a popular new attraction in recent years. Currently about 50% of the leaves have turned red, with more still changing color. If the weather remains stable, the leaves will begin to fall around early December. Now is the time when maple leaves gradually shift from green to yellow to red. The area around Songlu is colorful. Visitors on the trails can look up and enjoy the view to their heart’s content, while the maple leaves around Yuanyang Lake have already begun to fall, covering the ground with a red carpet. Travelers can enjoy two distinctly different autumn maple experiences in one trip.
