The “2016 Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival” is set to take place from July 1 to August 7 at Luye Gaotai in Taitung. With less than a month to go, the organizers have unveiled this year’s most anticipated and popular themed hot air balloons. The first week will feature four designs: a pink fortune cat, an ocean-themed balloon, a giant panda, and a kiwi bird. Netizens are invited to come up with Chinese names for these balloons, resulting in many creative and fun suggestions.

The “Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival” has announced the most eye-catching themed balloons set to appear this year. During the first week of the event, the following balloons will make their debut: High Kitty (July 1–14), Fishbowl (July 1–14), Panda (July 1–9), and Kiwi (July 1–13). The organizers are also inviting the public to contribute creative Chinese names for these uniquely charming balloons.

For the panda-themed balloon, suggestions include“Chubby Panda Sky Dive,” “Kung Fu Panda,” “Thunder Panda,” “Attack of the Panda,” and “Hugging Bear.”As for the kiwi bird, proposed names include“Dr. Kiwi Bird” and “Soaring Kiwi Bird.”and more.
