【La LaLand】features outstanding casting, with the director praising: “Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are destined to become a classic duo.” The golden couple pairing not only adds visual beauty to the screen but also receives high praise for their singing and dancing skills. Emma mentioned in a TV interview that she works with Ryan so often that this time, with months of song-and-dance training, having to look at his face every day made her want to talk to someone after filming—but the one upside of working with him is that being so familiar means sweating buckets doesn’t feel awkward. She laughed and said: ‘Dancing the tango with a stranger would be a disaster, but since it’s Ryan, even being drenched in sweat is totally fine.’

The film has received high praise internationally, scoring 8.6 on IMDb and 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, and recently had a zero-negative-review test screening in Taiwan. Not only did directors Lin Hsiao-chien, Hsieh Ting-han, Yi Chih-yen, and Hou Chi-jan all praise it enthusiastically, but film critics Lan Tzu-wei and Knee Joint also called it the most exciting romantic movie of the year.
