Originating from Japan’s Kyushu region, the Kyushu Waffle has been in Taiwan for nearly two years, reinterpreting nostalgic comfort food with earthy ingredients. To celebrate the highly anticipated Christmas season, from December 1 to December 25, a limited-time “Kyushu Waffle Christmas Couple Set” is being launched, featuring the “Kyushu Matcha Tiramisu Waffle” and the “Kyushu Matcha Mont Blanc Waffle,” as well as the ever-popular “Kyushu BBQ Chicken Waffle.” This perfect savory-sweet main dish combo comes with fries and a choice of two drinks, priced at NT$990.

The “Kyushu BBQ Chicken Waffle” replaces the classic American deep-fried method with slow-roasted tender boneless chicken thigh, glazed with a special Japanese-style BBQ sauce and paired with refreshing lime. It's served with a seven-grain plain waffle and Caesar salad, delivering a refreshingly Japanese flavor. The “Matcha Tiramisu Waffle” features layers of waffle coated with a special matcha sauce, topped with an exclusive classic tiramisu sauce made from mascarpone cheese, black honey, and fresh cream, finished with Uji matcha powder and a drizzle of matcha glaze for an intense matcha taste.

Kyushu Waffle Kitchen offers a different cooking experience theme every month. This Christmas brings brand-new activities, creating festive Christmas décor and a lively table garden, letting customers experience planting their own “Potted Tiramisu” greenhouse treat. From December 1 to December 25, customers who purchase the limited-time “Kyushu Waffle Christmas Couple Set” at Kyushu Waffle Café, take a photo with the set, and upload it to Facebook with the hashtags #KyushuWaffle and #MerryChristmas will have a chance to participate in a free Kyushu Waffle Kitchen dessert DIY cooking experience before the end of January 2017.
