Asia’s beloved monsters are taking Taiwan by storm. Tying in with the Christmas season, the movie *Yo-kai Watch the Movie: Eawesome, Eawesome, Eeeeeh!?* hits theaters on December 23. Last year, collaborating with queen of EDM Jolin Tsai helped turn adorable Jibanyan into a New Year’s Eve stage hit. This time, with an extravagant budget of 8 million yuan, the film has created a stunning monster-themed Christmas tree to celebrate the holidays. Even before its release, monsters are popping up all over the Greater Taipei area.

At the bustling Miramar Ferris Wheel in Zhongshan District, a super-cute monster Christmas tree makes a dazzling debut. The massive tree stands 12 meters tall and 7 meters wide, adorned with 5,000 LED lights and a sea of star lights, making it a popular photo spot for fans. Head over to New Taipei City’s Christmas Town and you’ll also find adorable monsters—the large-scale park installation art at Wanping Park faithfully recreates scenes from the movie, captivating both kids and adults alike.

The movie *Yo-kai Watch the Movie: Eawesome, Eawesome, Eeeeeh!?* has also released its latest poster, featuring the super-cool Lord Enma sitting atop his demonic throne, surrounded by Jibanyan, Samurai Yumotaro, Hovernyan, Komasan, Komajiro, and the brand-new character Usa-P. They bravely stand together to protect the friendship between humans and monsters. The second installment of the Yo-kai Watch movie attracted 974,000 viewers in its opening weekend in Japan. Now, the monsters are meeting Taiwanese audiences on the eve of Christmas.
