The Tourism Authority of Thailand has planned a series of special marketing campaigns targeting female travelers, hoping to win their hearts. Not only has August been designated as "Women's Month," but they have also launched the Women’s Travel mobile app, women-only parking spaces, and dedicated entry channels for women. Thai AirAsia will also offer special discounted flight tickets for female travelers during the same month.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, has declared August as "Women's Travel Month" to encourage female tourists to visit and to celebrate the 84th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. The project was initiated in response to the increasing number of solo female travelers or groups of female friends traveling together in recent years. Additionally, surveys show that when planning vacations, decisions are usually made primarily by the female members of the family.
Therefore, August has been designated as "Women's Travel Month," and relevant tourism industry partners such as airlines, hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, spas, health and wellness services, and cooking experiences have been invited to participate. The Tourism Authority of Thailand has proposed five different marketing concepts tailored to the varying needs of female travelers: beautiful appearance, beautiful body, beautiful mind, beautiful vacation, and beautiful experience.
