Reusing abandoned spaces results in a blend of historical culture and modernity. This time, HowToTrip introduces the transformation of an abandoned elementary school into a landscape restaurant and exhibition space. Due to declining birthrates, many rural elementary schools have faced the threat of closure. The Fengxiang Elementary School in Hsinchu County has been closed since 1983, over 30 years ago. Thanks to the thoughtful management of the Hakka Affairs Council and the founder of Dashan Beiyue, it has been reborn as a leisure destination and unique space.
