Cherry blossom viewing is always a highlight every spring！ Taipei’s most anticipated “2019 Yangmingshan Cherry Blossom Festival” kicked off on February 15. Throughout the mountain, you can see numerous cherry trees in full bloom. Travelers, remember to visit with your loved ones or family during the flowering season and take a stroll up the mountain.

This year’s cherry blossom event is themed “Hand in Hand to View the Blossoms,” combining a series of activities with the cherry blossoms to present a vibrant floral world, and to spend the festive season hand in hand with your loved ones！
The double-petal mountain cherry blossoms are gradually coming into full bloom.
The Yangmingshan Flower Festival, which attracts millions of flower enthusiasts every year, features key attractions such as Yangmingshan Park, the Flower Trial Center, and the Yangmingshan Visitor Center during the flowering season.
The night cherry blossoms in the Cherry Blossom Stream area are incredibly romantic when photographed at night.
Among them, various flowers such as eight-petal cherry blossoms, Showa cherry blossoms, Yoshino cherry blossoms, and Hirado azaleas are on display. On weekends, amidst the bustling crowds and the refreshing natural atmosphere, you can immerse yourself in a delightful ambiance with your loved ones.

The cherry blossoms on Yangmingshan are diverse in variety and impressively abundant in number. The weekend holiday is perfect for a family outing up the mountain to breathe in the fresh air, and of course, you can’t miss the stunning pink cherry blossoms, the stars of the show.

Traffic Control for the 2019 Yangmingshan Flower Festival
The “2019 Yangmingshan Flower Festival” is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 17, 2019 (31 days in total). To maintain traffic order in and around the Yangmingshan area, the Taipei City Police Department will not only deploy personnel to manage traffic flow, enforce penalties, and tow illegally parked vehicles, but will also implement traffic control measures on weekends (11 days: February 16, 17, 24, 28, and March 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17) at the following locations. Control times and areas may be adjusted flexibly based on traffic conditions in the Yangmingshan area:
1. Uphill Control Points (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, except for private cars (trucks) with permits): “Intersection of Yangde Boulevard and Zhicheng Road” and “Lane 1, Section 2, Zhishan Road.”
2. Downhill Control Points (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM): Intersection of Yangming Road and Zhongheng Street, and Intersection of Gezhi Road and Kaisyuan Road.
3. Flexible Control Points: Three locations including the Intersection of Gezhi Road and Jingshan Road, Intersection of Yangming Road and Xinyuan Street, and Lane 71, Section 3, Zhishan Road.
