The well-known Japanese conveyor belt sushi chain – Dozo Sushi, since2014its launch in Taiwan, has been a much-loved eatery that draws crowds, and its sixth branch will soon open in Taichung. This will also be the first street-side store in Taiwan modeled after a traditional Japanese dozō. The headquarters of Dozo Sushi sent specialists to Taiwan to oversee construction, with the official opening scheduled for1in18.

A dozō is a traditional Japanese warehouse-style building, which Dozo Sushi’s president, Kazuhiko Tanaka, sees as a treasure trove full of novel elements — hence the name “Dozo” (meaning “treasure storehouse”) for this conveyor belt sushi brand. Aside from its eye-catching exterior, the Taichung Fukuo Road outlet of Dozo Sushi also features a spacious interior, complete with dedicated parking spaces and199counter seats, along with an added4-6-person private room, making it ideal for group dining.
