In addition to the melting polar regions, these six areas are also facing the risk of disappearing within the next few years. Though it may seem that they have no direct impact on our immediate surroundings, these sites are indeed being rapidly affected — and this will eventually extend to the regions where we live.

1. Panama — San Blas Islands
The San Blas Islands are a paradise in Panama and one of the best tropical destinations and tourist spots in Central America. They are rich in biodiversity and traditional culture, offering a completely different vibe from the rest of Panama. 2. Israel, Jordan, Palestine Border — Dead Sea
The Dead Sea is fed by the Jordan River and is the lowest lake in the world as well as the deepest saltwater lake. Its surface sits at an elevation of 424 meters below sea level, making it the lowest exposed land point on Earth. The deepest parts of the lake contain petrified water. The shoreline of the Dead Sea is shrinking by approximately one meter every year, and it is expected to disappear entirely by 2050.
