Taiwan has many beautiful scenic spots, along with countless lesser-known breathtaking hidden gems. The country’s reservoirs and dams actually house rich ecological landscapes. Famous reservoir sights such as Shimen Reservoir and Feitsui Reservoir are well-known. This time, we’re introducing some of the lesser-known secret reservoirs. Though they may not have the grandeur of Shimen Reservoir, the beauty they hold is in no way inferior. The Ronghua Dam is located on the upper reaches of the Dahan River in Fuxing District, Taoyuan City. Its primary functions are flood control and intercepting sediment from the Dahan River to prevent large amounts from flowing into Shimen Reservoir and causing siltation (Image source / Wikipedia).
