With the arrival of spring’s blooming season, besides the nationwide cherry blossom fever, another yearly highlight of crimson floral beauty is the magenta trumpet tree. Its pink blooms form globe-shaped clusters, which at a distance look strikingly similar to the pink hues of cherry blossoms—but a closer look reveals the flowers as trumpet- or bell-shaped, delicate and exquisitely rounded. Below are two locations where trumpet trees are in full bloom along streets, near elementary schools, and beside parks—even in unassuming alleyway corners, you can find breathtaking displays of pink beauty.
