Alishan Cherry Blossom Season is one of Taiwan’s most important cherry blossom viewing destinations. In 2017, it will kick off enthusiastically on March 10. Currently, about 70% of the cherry blossoms have bloomed, leaving passersby in awe of their beauty. The Alishan Scenic Area has over ten varieties of cherry blossoms, including mountain cherry, Fuji cherry, peony cherry, and double-flowered cherry. In addition to the cherry blossoms, many other flowers are also coming into bloom, adding even more charm to Alishan. The Alishan Cherry Blossom Season will continue until April 10. To enhance the quality of flower viewing, traffic management measures will be implemented during the first three weeks of weekends in the blooming period (March 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26), with visitor numbers capped at 16,000 per day.
