Deities are always objects of reverence and worship for believers. However, Taoyuan City has created Taiwan’s first Land God Cultural Museum to promote the culture of Land God faith. In addition to housing multiple divine statues, the museum also features many adorable plush toys and dioramas of Land Gods and other deities, allowing visitors and believers to connect more closely with local faith and culture. With an average of over seven Land God temples per square kilometer, Taoyuan District has the highest density of such temples in the country. This is why the Land God Cultural Museum was established—it officially opened on February 27, giving visitors from all over the opportunity to learn more about folk beliefs and local culture.

The first floor of the Taoyuan City Land God Cultural Museum showcases multiple divine generals, allowing the public to observe the intricate art of divine statues up close. The second and third floors serve as permanent exhibition spaces, featuring interactive displays and a wealth of literature. Here, visitors can learn about Taoyuan’s history, Taiwanese people’s emotional connection to the land, temple-front culture, and the diverse global beliefs surrounding the Land God. The fourth, fifth, and sixth floors are designated as a civic art gallery, hosting various forms of art exhibitions. Additionally, the Yitaoqu Cultural and Creative Base is home to several artists who offer irregular hands-on workshops, making it a local hub for art.
