The Earth harbors a wealth of marvelous sights that captivate us and make us eager to witness their beauty. Located in Nevada, USA, the Fly Geyser features an oddly shaped small mound that continuously spouts water. Not only is its form unique, but the surrounding scenery is also vibrant and colorful. The contrasting landscape resembles a mysterious world from another planet. This is a small geyser and not a natural formation—it was created in 1964 when a geothermal test well erupted unexpectedly. Since then, hot spring water has been continuously spurting out, and the calcium carbonate in the water has gradually accumulated around it over the years, forming the mound. Thermophilic algae living on the mound give it striking red and green hues.
