Situated in Taichung, National Chung Hsing University boasts magenta tabebuia trees that erupt into bloom in a profusion of pink, flower-ball-like splendor every spring. These pink floral seas weave through the emerald-green woods, transforming the Green Pathway near the university into a pink-hued wonderland. Strolling down Xingda Road, blanketed with fallen petals, feels like walking along a dreamy floral carpet—truly a breathtakingly romantic scene. The campus also features majestic tree-lined boulevards, with rows of neatly standing wooded pathways that resemble the picturesque university settings seen in Japanese idol dramas.

Taichung’s urban street trees include the highest number and density of rain trees in Taiwan, and National Chung Hsing University has planted a vast expanse of them. Within just a few years, these have formed a dense, shady boulevard, making it one of Taichung’s famous wedding photography spots. Aside from the pink tabebuia, the sides of Xingda Road are also lined with golden shower trees. Their flowering season falls between May and June each year, when golden rain seems to drift through the air, turning the road into a golden tunnel.
