In November 2016, Beppu City in Japan’s Oita Prefecture uploaded a rather unique video on YouTube titled “We’ll really do it if we hit 1 million views!! Beppu City 0° Amusement Park Project!” This was a video centered around the concept of a hot spring amusement park. The city mayor promised that if the video reached one million views, he would make this hot spring amusement park project a reality. Unexpectedly, the response was extremely enthusiastic—the goal was achieved in just three days. Now, it has been confirmed that this amusement park will open in July, operating only from July 29 to 31. Entry is limited to 3,000 people per day, officially opening as a limited-time event with restricted daily visitor numbers.
