Recently, visitors and sharp-eyed cyclists to Xindian Sunshine Sports Park spotted a new landmark and exclaimed, "Did Bumblebee from Transformers come to Sunshine Bridge?" Everyone rushed to take photos. This robot that looks very much like Bumblebee is called "Iron Horse Bumblebee (Bike Bumblebee)." It was created by the New Taipei City High Ground Management Office using dismantled discarded bicycles, in collaboration with two local ironwork welders and street artists, Deng Jiaming and Ye Fangzhi from New Taipei City, hence the name Iron Horse Bumblebee.

Originally stationed under the Crescent Bridge, keeping daily company with residents, the robot became immensely popular among visitors who flocked to take photos. Some suggested moving Iron Horse Bumblebee to various riverside parks so more robot-loving kids and adults could enjoy this public art installation. In response, the New Taipei City High Ground Management Office began planning in mid-April to relocate this Transformers-inspired Bumblebee look-alike — Iron Horse Bumblebee — to Sunshine Sports Park. "Iron Horse Bumblebee" not only attracts the attention of passersby and fitness enthusiasts but is also beloved by both kids and adults, as well as nearby residents who come to admire it, all competing to take photos. At night, coupled with the lighting of Sunshine Bridge and the swan light sculptures, it adds even more vibrancy to the park’s nighttime scenery.
Visiting Sunshine Sports Park at night to enjoy the scenery also offers a chance to see the illuminated figure of Iron Horse Bumblebee (Bike Bumblebee).
While taking fun photos with the large and cool Iron Horse Bumblebee in Xindian Sunshine Sports Park, remember to take care of it and avoid climbing on it. Bike Bumblebee will be stationed at other parks in the future, giving more children and adults the chance to see it.
