Walking up the mountain trail for about 10 to 15 minutes, you’ll reach a pavilion at the mountaintop. From here, you can not only overlook the riverbanks and mountains, but also see a large cross that radiates solemnity and sanctity. In the lead-up to Easter, church members hold the Stations of the Cross ceremony, and Hejiang Catholic Church has long used this mountain as the route for the Kalvario procession. Recently completed trails and a pavilion have now transformed the site into a pilgrimage destination for travelers, too.
