Taking July 10 as an example, Yongfeng Bank offered a selling rate of 0.27, meaning that 2,700 Taiwanese dollars could buy 10,000 yen. The yen has been depreciating over the past month, and there is a chance it could fall below 0.27, though the room for further decline may be limited. On July 11, Yongfeng Bank’s cash selling rate was 0.2694, making it a good time to exchange currency in the near future—those who need it might consider exchanging in advance.
Due to the depreciation of the yen, the cost of many tour packages to Japan is also cheaper this year by around 3,000 to 5,000 yuan compared to previous years. With numerous summer travel options available and fierce competition, those looking to book should compare offers carefully.
