The world’s first tofu character drinks shop that’s super cute

Thanks to outstanding creativity from Taiwan, the licensing rights for the Japanese Tofu Character plush toys have been secured, leading to the opening of the world’s first Tofu Character dessert and beverage shop, “TO-FU meets Tea,” in Taiwan. Specializing in tofu-based drinks, TO-FU meets Tea incorporates handmade, chewy tofu into beverages and desserts. It also introduces Kyoto matcha from Japan and selects locally sourced healthy ingredients to offer visitors the healthiest and most delicious options.

In addition to importing tea ingredients such as Kyoto matcha and Shizuoka roasted tea, TO-FU meets Tea further combines them with high-quality local Taiwanese teas and ingredients — including black square chocolate grown toxin-free in Pingtung and made with 100% natural cocoa butter. This allows consumers not only to enjoy the heartwarming Tofu Character but also to savor the flavors of carefully selected products from both Japan and Taiwan.

In addition to its presence in dessert and beverage shops, Tofu Character has also collaborated across industries with eight selected Taiwanese design brands. Under the concept “TO-FU meets/ Tofu Character Meets Taiwanese Design,” it has partnered with Japanese designers to co-create a series of handcrafted, limited-edition design products ranging from lamps and tableware to furniture.
