Here are six popular photo spots across the island, featuring beautiful and photogenic landscapes, and all of them are free of charge—no entrance fees required. All you need is an adventurous spirit and a passion for travel. Visitors can explore these stunning spots during the vibrant summer season.

1. Kenting – Little Bali Beach Rock
Located in Kenting, the coral reef rock known as Little Bali is dubbed Taiwan’s Maldives by netizens. This rare beach rock formation makes visitors feel like they’ve stepped into a fairy tale as mermaids. The light blue waters here are incredibly beautiful. The area boasts rich marine ecology, perfect for swimming, photography, and snorkeling. However, the sharp coral rocks require caution when walking.

2. Nantou – Puli Black Forest
The Black Forest in Puli, even lesser-known to locals, is a hidden gem. A dense forest of towering black cypress trees earned it the nickname “Black Forest.” Its breathtaking scenery rivals that of the Nine-Day Black Forest in Taichung, making it one of the favorite photo spots for cyclists.

3. Hualien – Lasuo’ai Spring
Located in Guangfu Township, Hualien, Lasuo’ai Spring was voted the most beautiful hidden spot in Taiwan in 2016. This fairy-tale-like natural wonder features a spring merging with a wild stream, creating a serene, untouched landscape devoid of any artificial concrete structures. The indigo-blue First Spring, known as the “Blue Tears,” has a heart-shaped form and strikingly beautiful watercolor. Many visitors describe it as a color only God could create.

4. Keelung – Chaojing Park
Chaojing Park, situated on the eastern side of Badouzi Peninsula, spans one hectare. Originally a garbage dumping site, it has been transformed into a prime location for ocean views and sightseeing. The park features well-designed wooden boardwalks and numerous art sculptures, among which the most photographed is the Flying Broom.
