Taiwan, located at the intersection of tectonic plates, boasts a rich and diverse array of natural landscapes. The beauty of rugged mountains meeting and sea of clouds overlapping can be seen in many places, which is why camping activities and destinations have become increasingly popular in recent years. Situated on the highest point of Dala Gang Farm in Tai’an Township, Miaoli, the Impressions of the Atayal Campsite offers the most serene space and the best views. To its left are a large lawn and shield-like mountain peaks, while to its right stretch the Snow Mountain Range and the Da’an River Valley. Its design incorporates motifs from Atayal mythology and totems.

Impressions of the Atayal offers a sense of being cut off from the world, far from the hustle and bustle. At an altitude of 1,000 meters, it commands views of the surrounding mountain peaks and the changing colors of the forests across the four seasons. The area is mostly inhabited by the Atayal people, and it lies near the “Xuejian Recreation Area,” the Miaoli entrance to Shei-Pa National Park — a lesser-known, pristine tribal retreat.
