New 3D Retro Mural Spot – Free & Instagrammable Grocery Theater

In recent years, Taiwan has seen the emergence of many mural attractions, sparking a trend of taking photos against painted walls. The hyper-realistic 3D art has drawn numerous visitors eager to snap pictures. Located in Dacun Township, Changhua, the “Dalupan Grocery Store” is a new mural attraction that uses 3D painting techniques to depict nostalgic scenes from Taiwan in the 1950s and 60s. The three-dimensional murals blend seamlessly into the red-brick traditional courtyard homes, creating an old-world charm that has quickly become a popular photo hotspot.

The Dalupan Grocery Store is located next to Cifeng Temple in Dacun and is the result of a community effort. It aims to recreate the lively atmosphere of traditional courtyard home villages through the trendiest mural art. In addition to the quaint three-courtyard homes, visitors can also see retro-style theaters, stamp vendors, pinball machines, claw games, old-time convenience stores, and bus stops—offering a glimpse into Taiwan’s bustling past.
