For years, residents of Kun’ai and Kunming, two neighborhoods around Qing’an Fishing Port in Jianguo District, had no activity center to use. The district office found a public plot of land next to the Qingkunshui Pumping Station. With the help of local representatives and a subsidy of NT$11 million, the center was completed in nearly a year and a half. To echo the coastal surroundings, the building features a Mediterranean-inspired blue-and-white color scheme, instantly adding a touch of romance to the otherwise simple and rustic farmland community.
