Typhoon Nesat has intensified into a moderate typhoon and made landfall near Su'ao, Yilan at around 19:10 on the evening of the 29th, impacting all parts of Taiwan's land. Wind and rain have been intensifying since the evening.
[Updated] Typhoon Nesat exited Taiwan through Zhunan, Miaoli at 22:30, and by 8:00 AM on the 30th, its storm circle had moved out of Taiwan.

Additionally, the 10th typhoon, Mild Typhoon Haitang, has formed. A sea and land warning was issued at 17:30 on the 29th. It is located in the southwestern offshore area of Taiwan and is expected to begin impacting Taiwan’s land from the afternoon of July 30. There is a possibility of the Fujiwhara effect occurring between Typhoon Haitang and Nesat, which may extend the period of impact on Taiwan, requiring close attention.

The trajectory of Mild Typhoon Haitang is moving north-northeast then turning north. Its storm circle has entered the Bashi Channel, initially posing a threat to areas south of Nantou and Chiayi as well as Hualien and Taitung. Special attention should be paid in central and northern regions from the evening to early morning.

Transportation updates:
◎ Taiwan High Speed Rail
It is expected that normal operations across all THSR lines will resume from 12:00 noon on July 30 (inclusive), with trains departing according to the schedule. If it is confirmed that additional services can be added earlier, an announcement will be made as soon as possibleJuly 30before 9:00 AM.
◎ Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA)
In response to Typhoon Nesat, TRAJuly 30train operations are as follows:
1. Western Trunk Line (between Keelung and Chaozhou):
Interval trains will operate flexibly depending on wind and rain conditions starting from 10:00; scheduled express trains will gradually resume service from 12:00.
(1) Downbound: Scheduled express trains will resume from Train No. 123 (departing Taipei at 12:00).
(2) Upbound: Scheduled express trains will resume from Train No. 122 (departing Kaohsiung at 12:00).
2. Eastern Trunk Line (between Shulin, Hualien, and Taitung): All train services will gradually resume from 10:00.
(i) North-Link Line
(1) Downbound: Services resume from Train No. 218 (departing Taipei at 10:26).
(2) Upbound: Services resume from Train No. 271 (departing Hualien at 10:13).
(ii) Hualien-Taitung Line
(1) Downbound: Services resume from Train No. 410 (departing Hualien at 10:22).
(2) Upbound: Services resume from Train No. 417 (departing Taitung at 11:20).
3. South-Link Line (between Xinzuoying and Taitung): All train services will gradually resume from 10:00.
(1) Downbound: Services resume from Train No. 307 (departing Xinzuoying at 10:25).
(2) Upbound: Services resume from Train No. 372 (departing Taitung at 10:20).
4. Branch Lines: Pingxi, Neiwan, Liujia, Jiji, and Sha... lines will operate flexibly depending on wind and rain conditions starting from 10:00.
