1. Shiding – Bagua Tea Plantation
 
Located about a 30 to 40-minute drive from downtown Taipei, Shiding boasts a hidden paradise. Standing atop Shiding’s Bagua Tea Plantation, you can not only enjoy the fragrance of the tea but also marvel at the stunning view of Thousand Island Lake. Additionally, you can take a stroll along the nearby Yong’an Scenic Trail, making it perfect for a one-day trip.
 
2. Nantou – Ruan’an Bagua Tea Plantation
 
Surrounded by year-round mist, the Ruan’an Bagua Tea Plantation is tucked away within Nantou’s Da’an Bamboo Sea Scenic Area. Its terrain, twisted like a bamboo hat, earned it the early name “Bamboo Hat Tea Plantation.” Later, due to the layered tea trees forming a pattern resembling the Bagua (Eight Trigrams), it became known as the Bagua Tea Plantation. The endless emerald-green tea fields, paired with serene mountain forests, have made this place a popular filming spot for advertisers and a magnet for photography enthusiasts.

3. Nantou – Wujie Happy Tea Plantation
 
Located in Ren’ai Township, the Wujie Happy Tea Plantation Camping Area offers an exceptional vantage point. Here, you can enjoy both sunrise over the sea of clouds and, at night, a glassy night sky with the Milky Way — a truly five-star camping experience.

The tea fields in Wujie benefit from high-altitude growth — above 1,400–1,500 meters — where they’re constantly shrouded in mist, producing premium-quality high-mountain oolong tea. Visitors can also experience the fragrance of the tea fields firsthand.

4. Alishan – Bihu Mountain Tea Plantation
 
The Bihu Sightseeing Tea Plantation is located between 1,000 and 1,200 meters above sea level. On clear days, you can clearly see the main peak of Yushan and gaze out at the convergence of mountain ranges across four Taiwanese counties — a spectacular sight. Often enveloped in clouds and mist, the scenery is ever-changing, with magnificent sea of clouds frequently appearing. It’s one of the emerging tourist spots in the Meishan area. The plantation offers services such as tea tasting, dining, and homestays.
