Waiao - 9th Coffee

Located in Waiao, Tucheng in northern Yilan, this is a famous surfing spot. Even non-surfers can enjoy the rare sandy beach scenery of Taiwan’s northeast coast and the refreshing feeling of waves washing ashore. Right by the beach is the 9th Coffee, featuring a bright, warm, and cozy space with high-ceilinged glass curtains.

The Happiness Transit Station, renovated from an old bus terminal, holds many people’s memories as it was an important transportation hub years ago. The park features themes based on Jimmy Liao’s picture books *The World Doesn’t Have to Worry About Me* and *My World Is Full of You*, with the protagonists as the main theme. Outdoors, there are play areas shaped like elephants, giraffes, and other animals, making it also a large-scale installation art space.
