Sun Membrane Power, Creating the Future Together
To advance technological innovation in the mobile energy era and promote diverse applications of thin film power technology, Hanergy Thin Film Power Group launched the first “Global Thin Film Power Product Innovation Competition.” The event invites global talents to explore the limitless possibilities of future solar applications and seek technological innovation and inspiration. Through this technology-driven platform for application development and exchange, the competition aims to introduce more people to lightweight, thin, and flexible solar thin film power products, lead innovation trends, and boost global attention to clean energy. Starting this March, the competition has rolled out an extensive global roadshow plan, including domestic stops at Tsinghua University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Northeast Electric Power University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Shenzhen Design Industrial Park, and BIFTPARK, as well as international events at Art Center College of Design in the U.S., Politecnico di Milano in Italy, and the Korea Institute of Design Promotion.
Imagine Mobile Energy, Win Millions in Prizes
At the event, Gao Peng, Secretary-General of the Competition Organizing Committee, gave a systematic overview of Hanergy’s thin film power technology and its wide range of application developments, while also showcasing a series of Hanergy mobile energy terminal products. Hanergy’s globally leading thin film power technology offers advantages such as flexibility, light weight, excellent low-light performance, color adjustability, and customizable shapes. It can be widely used in building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), residential power generation, agricultural applications, automotive solutions, electronic devices, general products, special-purpose items, and commercial drones, fundamentally transforming human lifestyles and delivering a new mobile energy experience.
According to Gao Peng, the competition has set up regional sub-venues across four continents — Asia, Europe, North America, and Africa — and is open to global submissions across six major industries: architecture, transportation, electronics, household use, fully solar-powered vehicles, and others. The event invites product developers, R&D institutions, designers, engineers, faculty and students from design schools, and all individuals passionate about design and creativity to participate in the Global Thin Film Power Product Innovation Competition. Participants are required to submit their works via the competition’s official website before May 10, with final evaluations taking place before July 30, competing for prizes worth up to one million.
