Great photo spots right on the street — Taiwan also has a place in the world’s top three graffiti battles

The international trend of hip-hop culture, street graffiti is another form of artistic expression. From the perspective of murals, its origins can be traced back to ancient Egyptian wall paintings, while the evolution of contemporary graffiti can be dated back to the period of World War II. Graffiti has now evolved to include the use of spray paint, stencils, posters, paper cutouts, and more as forms of graffiti art. And the hip-hop graffiti culture is not only limited to Europe and the U.S. — many countries around the world have their own street graffiti scenes.

1. Hong Kong — Hung To Road

In Hong Kong, Hung To Road features walls painted with local Cantonese greetings, showcasing the city's unique cultural identity. The Hong Kong government began focusing on urban revitalization plans in 2015, and Hung To Road was one of the project sites. After the transformation, it became a new, artistic hot spot for photos and check-ins.

2. USA — The Wynwood Walls

The Wynwood Walls in the United States is a famous graffiti hub in Miami. Every building here boasts a different graffiti style, and it’s almost impossible to find a structure untouched by street art. The rich artistic atmosphere makes every visitor to The Wynwood Walls area want to linger and take photo after photo.

3. Taiwan — Ximending Graffiti Wall

The graffiti wall located in Taiwan’s Ximending movie district is also one of the island’s iconic street features. It has even caught the attention of international photography teams for location shoots, and renowned global brands such as NIKE and Microsoft from the U.S. have also been drawn here. It’s recognized as a graffiti mecca and a trendy hub in Taiwan.
