Travelers from Taiwan and Hong Kong heading to Japan are in luck. A Japanese company called “WAmazing” has launched a travel app that offers free internet services to Taiwanese and Hong Kong tourists. Initially, the service was only available to iOS users, but it has recently been extended to Android users as well. All travelers need to do is download the app and they can pick up a free SIM card kit at Narita Airport, granting them 500MB of mobile data to use over 15 days.

Currently, this service is only available to tourists from Taiwan and Hong Kong. Those who wish to receive the free SIM card kit can apply through the app two months before arriving in Japan, and complete a questionnaire four hours before arrival to gain access to 500MB of free data, which can also be topped up anytime. Although the service is currently only available at Tokyo's Narita Airport, the provider has indicated that more airports may be added in the future. Travelers planning a trip to Japan are sure to find this offer incredibly appealing!

In addition to mobile data, the app also provides services for booking hotels or travel itineraries, and even hailing taxis. The website mentions that one of the most common concerns for travelers in Japan is the issue of internet access, so they aim to offer the most essential and convenient services for visitors.
Besides grabbing free data at Narita Airport, there’s also a new hotspot: a century-old stationery shop & popular souvenir store
