Wandering through a vast forest of crimson bald cypress trees feels like stepping into a movie scene—dreamy, romantic, and utterly captivating. Yet, this breathtaking view, typically reserved for autumn and winter, can actually be enjoyed even in the sweltering summer heat. Located in Yilan City, the Youjia Farm features two rows of towering bald cypress trees, but the real eye-catcher is that they’ve already turned red. The fiery red leaves seem dyed by the blazing sun, complemented by the lotus-filled irrigation channels in the middle—absolutely stunning.

This hidden bald cypress gem, “Youjia Farm,” is about a five-minute drive from downtown and is on private land, open for free visits and photography. It has attracted many visitors and photography enthusiasts. Due to typhoon impacts and the resulting foehn winds, the bald cypress trees here have turned red as early as summer.
