Romantic leek flower sea in full bloom — Daxi’s September Snow, a limited-season spectacle

As the season gradually transitions into the crisp early autumn, the stars of the flower fields also begin to change. Around the Mid-Autumn Festival each year, Taoyuan’s Longtan and Daxi are graced with a “September Snow.” The leek flower fields in Daxi have quietly burst into a sea of snow-white blooms, creating a magnificent white floral landscape reminiscent of fallen snow. The sight attracts many visitors to stop and admire, taking photos of the vast expanse of leek flowers that look like snow covering the ground. As the blossoms sway in the wind, they exude a strong northern charm, leaving onlookers enchanted.

In autumn, leeks begin to bloom with white flowers, and the farming and sales work of farmers also temporarily winds down. In specialized leek-growing areas such as Ruiyuan and Zhongxin, a vast white expanse unfolds. The swaying white blossoms dance in the wind as if celebrating the arrival of autumn, marking the joyous occasion of harvest like a lively festival.

The leek cultivation area in Daxi Town covers approximately 150 hectares, with about 70 hectares concentrated in the specialized leek-growing zone of Zhongxin Village. As a result, walking along the streets of Zhongzhuang, one can catch the fragrant scent of blooming leeks in the air.
