The tropical depression with a pressure of 1008 hPa is located at 12°N, 149°E, in the sea area southeast of Guam, moving westward at a speed of 20 km/h. It is predicted that this tropical depression may develop into a typhoon. Meteorological expert Peng Chi-ming also predicted on Facebook that this typhoon will have the greatest impact on Taiwan on September 14 and 15, and its intensity may be considerable.

This weekend’s weather will be rainy across Taiwan, with temperatures around 26–30°C. Be sure to carry rain gear when going out. The daytime will mostly be sunny to cloudy, but rain is more likely in the afternoon. Areas north of central Taiwan, northeastern Taiwan, eastern Taiwan, and other mountainous regions should be particularly wary of heavy afternoon rain and thunderstorms.
