The nation’s longest Taiping Cloud Ladder makes its debut — don’t miss these four travel itineraries

Chiayi’s Taiping Cloud Ladder, the longest scenic suspension bridge in Taiwan, held its inauguration ceremony on the morning of September 23 and opened to visitors for climbing at 1:30 PM that afternoon. The single-span length of the Taiping Cloud Ladder is 281 meters, and it stands at an elevation of 1,000 meters, offering views of the Chianan Plain all the way to the Taiwan Strait — making it a new national attraction. In addition to experiencing the bridge itself, visitors can also explore the four villages of Taiping, Taixing, Longyan, and Bihu, as well as RuiLi, RuiFeng, and Taihe, fully immersing themselves in the beauty of northern Alishan’s tea culture.
