Located in the West-Central District of Tainan, “Hexing Hao Fresh Fish Soup” has evolved from a conventional fish soup eatery into a stylish, youth-oriented café. With Japanese-style curtains and warm-toned wooden elements, one might mistake it for a coffee shop — yet what it serves is a beloved local flavor that’s been around for over a decade in Tainan.

The skilled Madam Wang and her husband had been selling fresh fish soup on Park Road for over 10 years. Later, inspired by their son’s idea for a transformation, they closed the fish soup shop and focused on running “Xiaoman Canteen” on Zhengxing Street. Three years later, the couple decided to start anew, renaming the original “Fish Soup” as “Hexing Hao Fresh Fish Soup” to bring back their classic offering and satisfy the cravings of loyal foodies.
