Entering its 31st year, the ITF has seen attendance grow from 50,000 to 360,000 last year, making it the most important travel fair in the Asia-Pacific region. With outbound travel from Taiwan expected to reach 15 million in 2017, highlighting the strength of Taiwan’s tourism industry, the fair introduces the concept “Travel Taiwan, Explore the World.” A specially painted metro train lets passengers feel as if “riding the Xinyi-Tamsui Line is like traveling the world and playing across Taiwan,” attracting consumer attention and social sharing.

In addition to unbeatable deals and discounted flight tickets, the event also offers great giveaways such as accommodation vouchers for reaching spending thresholds and games for free flight tickets. There were also captivating performances by various mascots, interactions with the Miss Guam, Kuala Lumpur dance performances, trendy K-pop dance lessons, and alternating shows of traditional Korean dances—extremely eye-catching. Moreover, travel agencies generously offered free Mayday concert tickets in Canada with tour bookings, another major highlight. On-site visitors who collected themed stamps had the chance to win prizes such as an iPad Mini 4 16G Wi-Fi version, China Airlines domestic and international flight tickets, EVA Air unrestricted destination flight tickets, NokScoot Taipei-Bangkok round-trip tickets, Japan Airlines Taipei-Japan round-trip tickets, Samsonite 28T suitcases, accommodation vouchers, meal coupons, and exquisite local gifts. Some exhibitors even brought large ski simulators to create buzz and visual appeal.

The four-day 2017 Taipei International Travel Fair is poised for action. The invited national tourism bureaus, tourism promotion agencies, airlines, county and city governments, and travel agencies have all focused their efforts on presenting the most exciting marketing programs and offers. They aim to transform the most competitive tour packages and high-quality festival events into real purchasing power, strengthening the ITF’s integrated sales and promotional appeal. In particular, airlines are offering numerous great-value flight deals this year, such as surprisingly low prices for long-haul routes to San Francisco, Chicago, and New York in the United States; early-bird fares under NT$10,000 for routes to Osaka, Nagoya, and other destinations are not to be missed. For tour packages, the highly popular winter skiing trips have been slashed to a shocking low of NT$24,500, drawing particular attention. In addition, domestic travel deals for Penghu also feature market-low, unbeatable prices below NT$3,000, which are quite appealing. Local county and city government booths also offer diverse and fun activities, such as interactive games and industry promotions held daily on the Tainan Pavilion stage… The adorable and playful mascot “Cricket Guy” will also appear to interact with the public.

Participate in the “Can’t Get Enough of Tainan” event and receive Tainan Xinhua Chief’s Tea Eggs (limited quantity, while supplies last). The Miaoli Pavilion not only provides rich information on Miaoli County’s diverse travel options, cultural heritage, and specialty products, along with exclusive travel fair discounts, but also actively showcases Miaoli tourism’s six major exhibition features: “Camellia Blossoms,” “Woodcarving,” “Hot Springs,” “Fruits,” “Ceramics,” and “Hakka Cuisine.” Visitors are welcome to explore the Miaoli County Pavilion at the “2017 Taipei International Travel Fair” to discover Miaoli’s historical charm, natural beauty, and artistic culture, and experience the slow-paced happiness of Miaoli.
