The central pressure of Typhoon Saola is 985 hPa, with maximum near-center wind speeds of 25 m/s, and maximum instantaneous gusts of 33 m/s. The radius of seven-level winds is 120 km.

Affected by high pressure from the northwest and the southward movement of the northeast monsoon, the lowest temperatures across Taiwan will drop further, ranging between 18–20°C. Midday highs in central regions can still reach 27–29°C, resulting in the greatest day-night temperature difference—so take special care. In other areas, highs will be around 22°C. Autumn and winter climates are becoming more pronounced. When going out, carry light jackets or simple cold-weather items, and also be mindful of the temperature difference between air-conditioned spaces and outdoors to avoid catching a cold.
