Led by the Guizhou Provincial Tourism Administration and with participation from the Guizhou High-Speed Rail Tourism Marketing Alliance, nearly 30 scenic spots and hotels contributed nearly 3.3 million yuan worth of tickets and hotel resources to exchange for promotional efforts with Ctrip and Alitrip, focusing on destination marketing for Guizhou. This collaboration marks the first time Ctrip and Alitrip have launched dedicated destination pages for Guizhou nationwide. Centered around Guizhou as the primary destination, they have designed a range of products such as independent travel, self-drive tours, route tours, family tours, and themed tours, based on the unique characteristics of different areas. These are promoted through experiences and travel guides shared by seasoned travelers, presenting Guizhou’s culture, history, ethnic minorities, cuisine, and local specialties in a more vivid and comprehensive way. The year-long campaign is divided into five major thematic activities, covering promotions for the opening of the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway, summer water-themed getaways, Singles Day and Double Twelve sales, winter wellness, family-friendly spring travel, and flower-viewing events.

Lu Kun, Director of Ticketing Business at Alitrip
Lu Kun, Director of Ticketing Business at Alitrip, introduced: "This year, Alitrip will build exemplary tourist destinations nationwide, with Guizhou being one of our key focus areas. We will leverage Alitrip’s vast membership resources and integrate them with big data from Alibaba Cloud to achieve precise matching, attracting a large pool of quality tourists and fostering rich and wonderful 'connections' between visitors and Guizhou’s diverse and fascinating tourism offerings. In the past, our promotion of Guizhou travel mostly focused on long-haul trips, but the opening of the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway will boost the weekend and leisure travel markets."
It is understood that this collaboration represents a new form of partnership between Guizhou—a province rich in tourism resources—and leading online travel companies, marking the first instance of its kind nationwide. It changes the previously scattered, weak, and small-scale approach, signaling that the marketing of Guizhou’s tourism industry has entered a new phase: online platforms and OTAs joining forces and deeply engaging in marketing, product development, travel booking and sales, and travel organization. Zhang Mu, General Manager of KuaiXingManYou Network, the main executor of this signing ceremony, told reporters: "This collaboration is an innovation, propelling Guizhou’s tourism into the 'Internet+' era. By integrating online resources and launching new sales channels such as flagship stores for scenic spots on Taobao, we promote Guizhou comprehensively via e-commerce platforms. Travelers can search for Guizhou tourism information online, learn about Guizhou, and reach the destination more conveniently and quickly."

Chen Jiang, General Manager of Ctrip’s Destination Marketing Department, delivers a speech
At the promotion event, traveler Liu Xiaoshun introduced the Ctrip Guizhou destination page to the attendees and interacted with them through an online experience of the dedicated page. Li Rong, founder of the official Guizhou tourism Weibo account, also gave an engaging presentation sharing the abundant tourism resources of Guizhou and her numerous "dates" with the province. The event concluded with the audience singing "I’m Waiting for You in Guizhou" together.
On the eve of the official opening of the Guiyang-Changsha section of the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway, the Guizhou Provincial Tourism Administration, along with the Guizhou High-Speed Rail Tourism Marketing Alliance and the "Colorful Guizhou" tourism promotion team, held large-scale tourism promotion events in six cities—Huaihua, Changsha, Wuhan, Nanchang, Hangzhou, and Shanghai—over a span of 12 days. They showcased Guizhou’s rich tourism resources to travel agents and media in each location, kicking off Guizhou’s official entry into the high-speed rail era. The successful hosting of the "Colorful Guizhou" promotion event in Shanghai, along with the destination strategic cooperation with Ctrip and Alitrip, added a brilliant touch to Guizhou’s thematic tourism marketing activities. "Travel through picturesque landscapes and cultural scenes, where homesickness can be found everywhere in Guizhou." With the establishment of a three-dimensional transportation network including aviation, high-speed rail, and expressways, Guizhou’s tourism is becoming more open and integrated, gradually emerging as an important international and domestic tourist destination.
