Another hipster spot added to the list！The new restaurant “贰房苑LivinGreen,” renovated from a three-story Japanese-style earthen-walled building from the 1960s, is tucked away in the alleys of Taipei City. It preserves classic vintage elements while integrating modern minimalist design, creating a cozy dining atmosphere full of charm where guests can enjoy a delightful leisurely time.

The newly opened 贰房苑 is hidden in the artsy-chic Chaozhou Street area. Housed in a three-story Japanese-style old building, it retains the original structure’s classic features while incorporating a modern minimalist interior design, complemented by green leafy plants, resulting in an overall space that is both high-quality and comfortable.
Window seats let you enjoy the greenery outside and plenty of natural light.
The Japanese-style old house at 76 Chaozhou Street had been vacant for over 20 years. The shop owners hoped to preserve the original harmonious vibe of the neighborhood while moving in, so instead of fully renovating the old building, they retained many of its distinctive features, allowing the old house to maintain its familiar sense of coexistence with its neighboring buildings.
Every corner of the dining space inside is incredibly charming.
The delicious dishes in the restaurant are all inspired by ideas from the team members, many of which are drawn from their childhood memories — such as dry mixed noodles, preserved radish egg tarts, and curry rice. These are all classic and popular favorites in the shop.
The renovated exterior was designed to retain the impression it holds for nearby residents, so no overly drastic changes were made.
The design team also hopes that the space can create special connections with the surrounding people and things through its design. As for the menu, it centers around the core concept of “working at sunrise and resting at sunset,” aiming to combine diet with time and daily rhythm, creating a lifestyle attitude that follows the natural calendar.
