BAKE Inc., known for its master craftsmanship and creativity, has built many popular dessert brands. Each new brand consistently sparks long queues in Japan, earning a reputation as one of the trendsetters in the dessert scene. Eyeing the development of the Taiwanese market and the upcoming crowds expected in Xinyi District for Christmas and New Year’s, BAKE Inc.’s third hit brand “RAPL Pomp Ringo” will make its grand finale entrance just before Christmas on December 22 with a brand-new apple pie. The brand will open its first overseas store on the first floor of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei Xinyi A8.

RAPL Pomp Ringo (known as RINGO in Japan) continues BAKE Inc.’s commitment to fresh ingredients, featuring an innovative freshly baked apple pie. The brand opened its first store in Ikebukuro, Tokyo in March 2016, breaking away from the typical slightly tart taste of conventional apple pies. It offers a crispy crust filled with diced apples and custard cream. Its unique texture and creative design attracted large crowds right from its launch, winning over customers of all ages and receiving high praise, achieving the impressive feat of selling 250,000 pies in just one month in Japan.

Apples are widely grown across Japan, and apple pie is considered a national dessert. RAPL Pomp Ringo uses specially made brand flour for the crust and Aomori apple slices, which are freshly baked on-site daily, then filled with freshly whipped custard cream made using 100% pure fresh milk from Taiwan’s local contracted small-scale dairy farm “Fresh Milk Workshop.” With every bite, the sweetness of the apple harmonizes with the creamy richness of the custard, completely redefining the traditional idea of an apple pie.

The unique shape of RAPL Pomp Ringo is another highlight. Unlike traditional large apple pies meant for sharing, RAPL Pomp Ringo is designed for takeout, with a compact, easy-to-eat size that allows girls to buy and enjoy anytime. The sparkling sugar glaze makes RAPL Pomp Ringo shine like a decoration. Both its delicious taste and distinctive appearance have captivated the Japanese public.
RAPL Pomp Ringo currently has four branches in Ikebukuro, Kawasaki, Fukuoka, and Osaka. With its unique shape and flavor that differ from traditional apple pies, RAPL Pomp Ringo has sparked another wave of “apple”-themed queue mania. (Image provided by RAPL)
