A New Romantic Landmark for Couples: Breathtaking Night Views of the Historic Iron Bridge Over the River

Recently, a new dating hotspot has emerged in Kaohsiung. The old iron bridge over Love River has been transformed into a pedestrian bridge, preserving the historic railway tracks and being redesigned as a Time Walkway. Walking through the walkway, you can not only enjoy the beautiful views of Love River Harbor, but also catch a glimpse of the upcoming Cultural and Popular Music Center. At night, it becomes one of the most stunning spots to view Love River.

In the face of the rapid development of port cities across Asia, especially the emphasis on cultural and creative industries, a key project in Kaohsiung is the development of the 100-hectare Asia New Bay Area near the harbor. The Kaohsiung Circular Light Rail plays a crucial role in connecting and transporting large crowds to this new district. The section of the bridge that spans Love River not only accommodates light rail vehicles but also retains the original Taiwan Railways old iron bridge. By preserving the historic railway tracks, it has been reshaped into a historical Time Walkway for pedestrians.

The recently opened railway bridge passage, designed from the old iron bridge over Love River, has been transformed into a pedestrian bridge. Wooden planks are laid on both sides of the bridge deck, with reinforced glass in the middle to showcase the railway tracks. At night, lighting enhances the area, creating a beautiful iron track light corridor that connects the pedestrian flow between the two banks of Love River at the TRA True Love Pier Station of the light rail.
