The Handsome Dancer brothers from the U.S. created the shoulder-shaking dance “Coincidance” in 2015. With its insanely catchy music and dance moves, it has continued to spread across the world and sparked countless imitations, becoming the wildly popular dance trend it is today. This time, the Handsome Dancer brothers were invited by a car brand to shoot a commercial in Taiwan. Aside from making a splash at the ATT4FUN event in Xinyi District in early December, the ad they filmed in Taipei in mid-December also stirred up discussions and shares online. Several Taipei landmarks featured in the video showcase the city’s unique character and charm.
In just 2 minutes and 27 seconds, the video features a variety of popular Taipei attractions, including iconic skyscrapers in Xinyi District, alleyway street scenes in the East District, as well as currently trending sights such as the double-decker sightseeing buses, Apollo suits, Longshan Temple, and Ximending. Not only is the shoulder-shaking dance amusing, but the video also highlights the appeal of Taipei as a tourist destination.
