Asia’s Largest in Taiwan – The Must-Visit New Destination with a 3D Spiral Slide

Slides are no longer just for kids. Since the emergence of large indoor slides in cities like Taichung and Kaohsiung, their thrilling levels have even attracted adults. Now, Taipei’s urban area has also debuted Asia’s highest outdoor 3D spiral slide. The leading department store in Xinyi District has created an outdoor spiral slide, standing 16 meters tall — about four stories high. Trial operations began on the 17th, drawing crowds of tourists and passersby for photos even before the official opening.

In recent years, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei Xinyi New World has undergone gradual renovations. Aside from interior upgrades, A8 Building has also introduced Asia’s highest outdoor 3D spiral slide, “Weeeeee ! Slide,” stretching over 60 meters. Its transparent design boosts sensory thrill, while LED lighting at night adds to the appeal. Officially opening on December 22, it becomes Xinyi District’s newest hot-topic experience installation.

Additionally, as Christmas approaches, department stores traditionally roll out exciting installations. This year, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi specially collaborated with the beloved “Gachapon Planet” series. Three polar animal designs — the polar bear, reindeer, and king penguin — from the third installment of “Gachapon Planet” were selected and enlarged into super-cute 150-centimeter-tall giant figures. Their oversized “chins” have drawn fans eager to snap photos.
