This year’s Taipei 101 New Year’s Eve fireworks totaled 360 seconds, making it the longest in history. With 16,000 fireworks fired—fewer than the previous 30,000—it reflects consideration for air pollution issues. While celebrating the festive occasion, efforts were made to balance celebration with environmental protection. Paired with the long LED wall light web T-PAD display, traditional Taiwanese floral window patterns were used as the main visual motif, offering audiences a unique viewing experience.

The theme of the 2018 fireworks show is “Happy Together,” expressing hopes that at the very first moment of 2018, it will ignite the nation’s vision for Taiwan, wishing everyone a safe and happy year ahead.
